Kari Schofield

Executive Director

Kari Schofield is a community-focused public relations and communications strategist, and a marketing and fundraising professional, serving the Windsor and Essex community in a professional and personal capacity for over 20 years. Kari’s passion is to make a difference, give back to her community, and help create positive change in non-profit organizations.
Kari was the first communications and public relations manager for Windsor Essex Community Housing Corporation. She provided exceptional leadership and strategic counsel on communication strategies for branding, community engagement, media relations, and government relations. Kari brings with her extensive experience in non-profit management, board governance, and the importance of a strategic vision and mission.
Kari is a University of Windsor alumnus, and is a current student at St. Clair College of Applied Arts and Technology, anticipating completion of her paralegal diploma in December 2024. Kari dedicates her volunteer efforts for several organizations. She currently serves as vice president for two local non-profit housing corporations, and is a member of the Windsor Regional Society of Architects and Ontario Paralegal Association.
Kari and her family, her sister Toby and her father Dick, have benefited from the programming at Julien’s House. Dick Schofield, in tribute to Kari & Toby’s mother and his wife Karen, shared the impact of Julien’s House’s support in the “Share Their Name” Campaign video. The whole family, including Kari’s fiancé Frank Malone, are avid supporters of many Julien House events and look forward to the future growth of the organization and its impact on the community of Windsor and Essex County.

Courtney is a graduate from the University of Windsor with a specialty in Family and Social relationships. She has a strong background in emotional support, hosting support meetings and assisting families to overcome difficult situations. She has worked directly with families at Muscular Dystrophy and Windsor Essex Children’s Aid Society. Her vast knowledge, kind heart and professional manner serves our community well.

Belinda is a communications, editorial and design professional with more than two decades of passionate dedication to arts, culture and community development. A graduate of York University with a bachelor’s in English and the University of British Columbia with a master’s in Creative Writing, Belinda has operated her own boutique communications company for 18 years. She served the Vancouver arts and culture community for over 20 years, in communications and editorial roles at a myriad of theatre, dance, film, art, literary, publishing and advertising organizations. Belinda found Julien’s House through her own grief journey and is honoured to share in its mission to provide compassionate support to the bereaved. She brings to our community her experience working with volunteers, artists and various stakeholders to develop, promote and host many community, arts, fundraising, festival and memorial programs, events and workshops.
