
A respected community leader in Windsor-Essex, Laura Kay brings over 25 years of experience in the not-for-profit sector to her role as the Executive Director of Julien’s House. Originally from Manitoba, Laura studied Marketing and Business Administration at the University of Winnipeg. Prior to her joining Julien’s House, Laura served for 9 years as Project Manager with Assisted Living Southwestern Ontario (ALSO). She is a certified Volunteer Manager and has experience as a Senior Fundraiser with the Canadian Cancer Society. As former Executive Director of the Brain Injury Association of Windsor & Essex County, she was instrumental in creating connections and helping brain injury survivors navigate systems throughout the province. Laura’s sister is a brain injury survivor, which served to strengthen Laura’s driven passion and advocacy role in the community for injury prevention, and compassionate support.

Courtney is a graduate from the University of Windsor with a specialty in Family and Social relationships. She has a strong background in emotional support, hosting support meetings and assisting families to overcome difficult situations. She has worked directly with families at Muscular Dystrophy and Windsor Essex Children’s Aid Society. Her vast knowledge, kind heart and professional manner serves our community well.

Denise is an alumnus of both the University of Windsor and St. Clair College. In addition, she has been formally trained as a Therapeutic Art Practitioner. She holds a certificate in Thanatology and is a Certified Grief Educator. Her training as a Creatively Fit Coach and a Heartwork Journaling Coach is also a benefit to our community and guests. Denise offers compassionate support to individuals and families who are dealing with the challenges of grief and loss.
